2007
FALL
LEAF
PICKUP
PROGRAM
(At this time)
The Leaf Pickup for
the 2007 season will begin on October 29th. Because the majority of the
leaves
have not
fallen
from the trees, one crew
will work throughout the city.
If the trees
in your yard have dropped most of their
leaves, and you have raked them in to the tree lawn, the Street
Department will make special arrangements to pick up your leaves.
Please call to make arrangements at (419) 289-9791.
Again this
year, the City will have NO
EPA APPROVED
leaf
drop off point for residents! Residents may take leaves, free
of charge, to Willo'Dell
Nursery during the city's leaf pickup.
Their hours are 8 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday and 8 am
to 5
pm on Saturday. People taking leaves to Willo'Dell Nursery
should
stop by their office to find out where to drop their leaves. This
service is for
residential use and
leaves
only! All bags
and containers shall be emptied and taken with you when you leave.
Please
use the following guidelines:
1) Leaves are to be
raked to the tree lawn
area, and not
into the street.
2) Do not rake leaves into the street
because they
plug the catch basins, and cause drainage problems.
Wet leaves are very slippery, and may cause a traffic hazard.
Questions
may be directed to the
Street Division at 289-9791. Thank you, and happy leaf raking!
