The Ashland Fire Division is led by Fire Chief Rick Anderson. The Division provides emergency fire, medical, and rescue services to the City of Ashland and two contractual townships, Milton and Montgomery both located in Ashland County. Our total coverage area is approximately 62 square miles. We currently operate out of one centralized fire station located at 274 Cleveland Avenue. In 2022 the division ran 4596 alarms, 84% of these were medical related while 16% were fire/rescue related alarms. Dispatch for the Ashland Fire Division is handled through the Wooster-Ashland Regional Council of Governments (WARCOG).
The Ashland Fire Division is made up of 38 uniformed personnel and 1 administrative assistant. Administrative personnel work Monday through Friday while shift personnel work a 24/48 rotating schedule.
