School Crossing Guard

Job Notice

The City of Ashland has an opening for a part-time School Crossing Guard in the Police Division,
Chief Dave Lay

Applications will be accepted online until midnight on November 19, 2023

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Controls traffic at designated crossings
Escorts children in order to ensure safe crossing
Controls behavior of children in order to ensure compliance with traffic regulations

We're looking for someone who:

Is "Dedicated to Service"
Has earned a high school diploma or a GED
Will work in the various weather conditions found year round in Ohio
Is willing and able to learn and follow City policies and procedures
Can develop and maintain working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and the general public
Successfully complete a criminal background check with fingerprinting.

Wages:

$21.00 per day
Pension through OPERS with the City contributing an additional 14% and employees contributing 10% of wages
Available 457 plan
