Sunday June 10

6 PMTHE MAGIC OF ELI:  Performing professionally since the age of 10, Eli is an amazing award winning magician and performer. Great Family entertainment.

8-9:15  JOHNNY PEERS & THE MUTTVILLE COMIX:  Johnny leads over a dozen dogs through challenging and hilarious tricks as he plays the straight man role in this wonderful showHe has appeared on the David Letterman show and with Ringling Brothers Circus.

Thursday June 14JUST JAZZ LIVE:  This premier jazz ensemble led by Tom Blair on saxophone & flute, Britt Reed on guitar, features singers Jay Claypool and Ashland’s own Kelly Knowlton.

Sunday June 17ASHLAND AREA COMMUNITY CONCERT BAND:  Traditional Father’s Day favorite, AACCB, is led by Director of Bands at Ashland University (retired) Leonard Salvo.  The ensemble performs a wide variety of music including Broadway selections, classic marches, and masterworks for concert band. Members hail from Ashland and the surrounding area.

Thursday June 21:  7 BRIDGES  The Ultimate Eagles Experience:  This group offers a stunningly accurate portrayal of the Eagles.   7 Bridges faithfully re-create the experience of an Eagles concert from the band’s most prolific period combining incredible musicianship, vocal precision, and a vibrant stage presence.

Sunday June 24NEVER SURRENDER:  Classic rock from the 70’s & 80’s, this group loves playing music and entertaining.   They have received many musical accolades and positive reviews in the Central Ohio area. Find them on Facebook.

Thursday June 28NESSA:  Is a Celtic fusion group led by multi-instrumentalists Kelly McDermott & Rob Crozier and includes some of Eastern Michigan’s hottest players. Kelly is known for her dazzling flute technique and soulful voice. The group has been described as mystical, energetic and global.

Sunday July 1: Ashland Symphony Orchestra:  Maestro Arie Lipsky conducts the ‘Pops in the Park’ concert celebrating Independence Day with the Ashland Area Chorus & Battery D the 1st Ohio Light Artillery Co. to lead the 1812 Overture.

WEDNESDAY JULY 4:  USAF BAND OF FLIGHT: This 14 member ensemble provides top notch entertainment for the whole family. Capitalizing on the synergy of 2 component groups, Wright Brass & Systems Go, this dynamic ensemble brings a unique & diverse combination of musical stylings to the stage depending on the talented musicians and arrangers with the group. The group plays “everything from Bach to the Beatles and beyond."                                                                                                                                                                              


Sunday July 8: NORTHWEST TERRITORY: This band has been performing its own unique style of music since its first performance back in 1989.  That style includes bluegrass, country, folk, gospel and original material.  Ashland’s own Mary Kettering adds vocals & premier fiddle playing to the group.                                                                             

 Thursday July 12:  CELLOCENTRIC:  This innovative instrumental group blends acoustic guitar, cello and bassoon for a very original sound and innovative interpretations of a variety of musical styles and original material. Doug Wood, guitar; Arleigh Savage, bassoon & Carolina Borja, cello.

 Sunday July 15MOTOWN SOUNDS OF TOUCH:  This Motown tribute band has shared the stage with industry greats such as The Temptations, Rick Springfield, Al Green and Ray Charles.  Touch members have written songs for the Jackson 5 & Michael Jackson.  Their sound and stage show is pure Motown.

Tuesday – Saturday July 17- 21  Ashland Chautauqua: OCEANS, RIVERS & SEAS:  Ashland’s 19th Annual Chautauqua features actor/scholars portraying historic characters at 8 PM preceded by Opening Acts at 7 PM & daytime workshops throughout the county.

Wednesday July 18:  Karen Vuranch as Grace O’Malley; 16th Century Pirate Queen
Opening Act: Steve Brown Trio.
Thursday July 19: John Anderson as Henry Beston: Prolific Cape Cod writer
Opening Act: Spoken Images.
Friday July 20: Debra Conner as Edith Russell, Fashion designer & Titanic survivor
Opening Act: Steven Stanley.
Saturday July 21: Hasan Davis as York, Slave of Wm. Clark and black explorer on the Lewis & Clark Expedition
Opening Act: Kristine Jackson 

 Sunday July 22: Lehto & Wright Trio:  This Celtic/American/English Folk and progressive rock band from Minneapolis, MN produces a tight seasoned sound offering a fresh blast of inventive fork-rock American style.  Their sound is a unique blend of traditional and modern styles resulting in a fresh approach to the world of folk & folk rock.

Thursday July 26: THE FITZGERALD’S:  If you want to see a performance that is energetic and utterly engaging, this group of 3 time Canadian Fiddle & Stepdance Champions & siblings is the one to see.  They fuse their traditional Canadian fiddle styles with modern styles while displaying an intricacy of footwork that is magical.

 Sunday July 29: SOBOS:  This 5 member band from Wooster, Ohio focuses on classic rock from the 70’s & 80’s.  Each member has many years of music performance experience and features dynamic lead vocals by Jennifer Bee described as pure Rock and Roll soul.

Thursday August 2: THE DIAMOND PROJECT: Dedicated to performing a true replication of the musical stylings of a live Neil Diamond concert, this group provides an amazing tribute to one of America’s foremost talents.

Sunday August 5: CLEVELAND JAZZ ORCHESTRA: Northeast Ohio’s premier jazz voice for 33 years led by Paul Ferguson, promotes jazz in its historical and contemporary forms through concerts with gifted jazz musicians, arrangers, composers and educators in northeast Ohio.  CJO aims for worldwide recognition in cooperation with gifted guest artists and looks to guide young musicians toward the future of jazz.  Ashland University’s Dr. Scott Garlock is a member of CJO.

Thursday August 9: RIB TICKLERS PLUS 2:  The name comes from the group’s longtime tenure as the Dixieland house band at Adam’s Rib restaurant in Mansfield.  Members have changed over the years but their tradition of excellent musicians and an entertaining stage presence remain.  Styles include Dixieland, swing, Latin, waltzes and music from the 50’s through the 70’s.

Sunday August 12: ASHLAND REGIONAL BALLET: Sarah Cyders, Artistic DirectorOur traditional final event of the concert series, ARB presents performances in a wide range of styles including ballet, modern, jazz and tap offering great entertainment for the entire family and a richer artistic atmosphere in our community.
