Let's stop vandalism in our parks!
Ashland is our city!
Every year our parks experience vandalism. These thoughtless acts cost taxpayers money, take park employees away from other responsibilities, and steal enjoyment of the parks from all of us.
In the past, the parks have seen an increase of vandalism as the weather turns warmer. Common issues include destruction in the restrooms, broken glass in play areas, graffiti on picnic tables and other surfaces, and items thrown into the pond or town creek. Repairing the damages costs money and time, taking the resources away from other projects.
If you see vandalism occurring, please call 911 and report the incident. Let's keep our parks safe, clean, and fun for us and for future generations!
