Summer Tennis Program Information

Tennis Tots:

  1. Grades K and 1 (this year’s grade)
  2. Sign up and play ½ hour - June 6 or 7 at 9 a.m. at Brookside Park
  3. 8 sessions lasting 2 weeks (Monday through Thursday), ending June 16.
  4. A program of tennis fun and prizes using large balls plus a small net and court
  5. Bring small racket and $30 fee - Fun and prizes with tennis basics

 Young Love:

  1. Grades 2 and 3 (this year’s grade)
  2. Sign up and play 1 hour - June 6 or 7 at 9:30 a.m. at Brookside Park
  3. 12 sessions lasting 3 weeks (Monday through Thursday), ending June 23.
  4. Bring racket and $35 fee - Fun and prizes with tennis basics

Junior Tennis:

  1. Grades 4 through 8 (this year’s grade).
  2. Sign up and play 1 hour at 11:30 a.m. - June 6 or 7 at Brookside Park.
  3. 4 week program, (Monday through Thursday), ending June 30.
  4. First 8 days lessons at Brookside 11:00 a.m.
  5. Last 8 days – league play and drills. Tournament at 9 a.m. last day. Bring racket and $40 fee.

Stroke of the Day:

  1. Grades 6 through 11 (this year’s grade). Younger players need prior approval.
  2. Sign up 12:30 p.m. on June 6 or June 7 with instruction/play for ½ hour.
  3. Four weeks, (Monday through Wednesday) 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., ending Wednesday, June 29.
  4. Instruction/drills in stroke techniques. Bring racket and $30 fee.

Travel Training:

  1. Grade 6 through 11 (this year’s grade). Younger players need prior approval.
  2. Sign up June 6 or June 7 at 1:00 p.m. at Brookside Park and play 1.5 hours.
  3. 4 week training for players with experience, $40 fee. Grades 6,7, and 8 will play Junior Tennis and pay $20 for travel training.
  4. Practice: Monday through Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Matches Thursdays at 12:00 p.m. 

Adult Tennis Instruction:

  1. Open to all men and women, 9th grade or older.
  2. Sign up and play one hour June 6 or 7 at 7:00 p.m. at Brookside Courts, $30 fee.
  3. 8 sessions, Monday through Thursday for 2 weeks from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., ending June 16.
  4. Individual instruction, drills, strokes, strategy, singles and doubles.
    Good as a refresher course or for beginners and intermediates.

Open Tournament:

Ashland Times-Gazette – June 24, 25, & 26, singles and doubles.

  1. Open to all adults and juniors.
  2. Cost- $15 per player per event, maximum three events.
