The Parks and Recreation Department manages 360 acres of developed and undeveloped open spaces that include parks, natural habitats, and facilities such as a band shell, basketball courts, horseshoes, miniature golf, hiking trails, playground equipment, shuffleboard, Pickleball courts, soccer fields, softball and baseball fields, tennis courts, a municipal golf course and pavilions.

Our department is responsible for maintaining and improving the parks and recreational spaces of our city. Our dedicated team of professionals works hard to ensure that all of our services are provided in a timely and efficient manner.

Our services include:

• Park maintenance, including mowing, landscaping, and tree trimming.

• Playground maintenance, including regular inspections and repairs to ensure that all playground equipment is safe for use.

• Trail maintenance, including regular maintenance of hiking and biking trails to ensure that they are safe for use.

• Athletic field maintenance, including mowing, fertilizing, and maintaining the fields for sports like soccer and baseball.

• Facility maintenance, including regular maintenance and cleaning of park restrooms, shelters, and other facilities.

• Event planning, including organizing and hosting events like concerts and sports tournaments in our parks and recreational spaces.

We understand that the condition of our parks and recreational spaces is important to all residents, and we are committed to working together to keep Ashland's parks and recreational spaces beautiful and safe.
